Welcome to Preschool Social Academy! We are a school located in the heart of historic Winchester, Massachusetts, serving the needs of toddler to pre-kindergarten families.
We firmly believe that a solid academic base is essential for young children, but also realize how important play is in their development. As such, we’ve carefully constructed a curriculum that provides them with an underlying academic foundation, meshed seamlessly with play-based activities and fun. Our approach not only ensures that they have fun with learning, but also teaches them how to learn effectively.
Preschool Social Academy was founded with just one classroom in 2008 by Kimberly Higgins. The school started with 4 students, and quickly grew in size to 30 with an extensive wait-list. The school moved to its larger and current location in Winchester in 2016 to accommodate a larger number of students, while proudly keeping our teacher to student ratio intact. While we’ve grown in size, we maintain a focus on our values and philosophy.
We invite you to explore our website for further details regarding our school and program. If you would like to learn more, please do not hesitate to contact us for an invite to our open house where we would be happy to provide you with details. During your visit, you may see our toddlers practicing a song or working on a craft to bring home. Our preschoolers may be in their dress-up corner, or learning how to count in a different language. Our Pre-K class may be learning addition and subtraction, or they may be learning how pulleys work and the science behind them. Or some of our classes may be in our outside private classroom, or on a field-trip to the abutting Leonard Field.
We appreciate your interest in Preschool Social Academy, and look forward to welcoming you and your child!
